Chicken Sopas for the Reader's Bowl

Christmas with the Bautistas

Slept around 3:14 am a while ago. It was a fun celebration. We were 23 people at my grandparent's house. As always, gift-giving was the highlight of all things. Even I, who had been awake for about 20 hours, felt as pumped up as the rest. I loved the Disney sweater Lolo gave me, who turned out to be my Daddy at our yearly Kris Kringle. Wore it, then took it off after a moment later. After all, it has been so hot, why would you ever wear a sweater?

Speaking of gifts, and there's my sister. These past days, she has bought me a Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle cellphone accessory, treated me out for dinner and a couple of Starbucks frappuccinos. Still, the girl got me the book I have been wanting for years, Lois Lowry's The Giver. Not that I'm complaining or anything.. I'm actually quite overwhelmed I have someone like her to call my sister. Thanks, Ate! ;)

But nothing could surprise me more than what my Tita Merlie gave me - a Canyon! Yes, those big guns that people on the street carry around lately to create loud noises. At first, I thought she was joking, but, no, she was dead serious about it.

Truly my latest Christmas season has been an unforgettable one and I am very grateful to everyone who's been a part of it. To my family.. To my friends.. Even to you who's reading this right now.. Thank you. Hope you all have a merry Christmas and remember the One who lived and died for us no matter what happens.

Photo Frenzy

Post originally made on July 23, 2006

Meet my Tita Mitzi & Tito Ervin. They first met back at 1996. Now a decade later, they are now referred to as Mr. & Mrs. Bautista as they have just tied the knot.

The day after the wedding of the year (at least to us it was ‘coz we were related to them), all of my close relatives from Taguig were still in Tagaytay and rested at our house. My sis and I got to hang out with 3 of our cousins & we really had lots of fun just doing crazy stuff. One of those “crazy stuff” was we would get ourselves photographed as we jumped off the ground like this:
This one looks like as if we got blown away or something.
Yes, we were in such a photo frenzy that day as the camera kept on clicking. You could probably blame me. I was so inspired with my tito and tita's dramatic wedding pictures, I tried to have a try at my own:
Photographer material? You decide. Anyways, As you could see, I enjoy taking photos in unusual views. Well, I think got carried away with the 3rd one. It seems as if a stalker took it.

If you want to see more of these fun shots, you could check out my sister's Multiply. She created a folder just for all of it.

A December to Remember

Wow, 2006 is already on its final month. I plan on making the most out of these last moments. Great stuff will be coming your way. Do watch out for it.

This December had an interesting start. Today, we travelled off to Greenhills. I could not forget our taxi ride to the said place. We were 6 passengers (EXCLUDING the driver) and get this, only 1 of us sat at the front: Dad. This meant the 5 remaining people (My two aunts, mom, sis and I) had to fit ourselves at the back of this small cab. If you could only see how we looked like that time.. Priceless. We were there at Manila to do some serious shopping. More importantly, we were there because my aunt gave birth just last night! Here's a sneak peak of the new born baby:

Josh is his first name but until now, they haven't decided on the second one. One of my aunts said that since he was born on Andres Bonifacio Day and the time of storm Reming, he should be called Andrei Boniface Remington. o_O

I remember I do have this unfinished write-up about the newly proclaimed parents, my Tito Ervin & Tita Mitzi. Let me just complete everything inside it then post it up as a sort of tribute. That's that for now. 'Til then, enjoy the current month of the year! It's our last.
