Chicken Sopas for the Reader's Bowl

One ARK at a Time

Fresh from Los Banos for the Science Research library visit, our bus parked near our school. It was amazing to see that the movie on the bus's DVD player ended just in time for the lights to go on and for everyone to stand up - kinda like what happens in a movie theater.
They were watching Evan Almighty. Of course, it was a pirated copy. I didn't want to watch (because I didn't feel like it and I don't support piracy >_<), but not even drowning myself in some iPod music could work. My classmate's iPod only had one earphone working, and I was in a good seat at the front to catch glimpses of the flick.
Then, it was my turn to go down the bus. As I made my way to the schoolgate, Kent caught up with me, and he happened to mention about the film. ''Ang galing ng meaning ng ARK, ano?'', I replied. You can probably relate to me if you already seen Evan Almighty. If not yet, I'm referring to the scene at the end where God had revealed to Evan something special through a writing made by Him on the ground.
On the moment I mentioned about the word ''ARK'', I looked at the sidewalk, and suddenly became dumbfounded. "And speaking of the word...'', I stopped and mentioned.

Apparently, what I saw was the 3 letters after the letter P in the word ''Parking'', written on the ground near the schoolgate. Yup, it spelled out the word ''ARK''. Kent and I, along with one of my classmates we told about what happened, joked that it was some sort of a calling; That one of us were to be the next Bruce Almighty. LOL.

But kidding aside, could it really be a calling or was all of that just a mere coincedence?

Either way, let us all give our share in changing the world... one act of random kindness at a time.

Bittersweet

I don't know why, but just like last year, I don't feel like blogging about what happened on my birthday. Oh well. Still, thanks to all who greeted through personal means, text, Y!M, Friendster, PKMN-ph, and even here in this blog.
No matter how sweet (or bitter) being 16 will be, here's hoping for the best >_<. Thanks again, guys!
A mention to Nigel for the drawing of me and Red Ribbon for the cake.
Yey, sa wakas, my Friendster age is finally real.

For the 20th

I thought the church's morning service was already over when Pastor Manny suddenly announced...

All August celebrants please come forward, so we can pray for you.

My eyes became obvious of shock. I have nothing against people praying for other people, but it's just that, I have never went in front to the church stage before. A stage fright issue? Maybe yes, maybe no. Haha All I know is that I didn't want to make my way down the isle to go up there.

But, when you have 8 other family members with you in the same room in that particular time, (especially a mom and sister who loves to fool around with the bunso), expect you'll get busted sooner or later.

Basta, 'yon. Gets niyo na siguro yung nangyari. Hehe I guess that's that for my lame attempt for y'all to know that my birthday's real near. Haha >_<

It was good thing I faced my '''fear'', though. It was a nice feeling once I was there, getting prayed for and all that. Besides, at least, now, I won't have trouble facing my schoolmates this Thursday. Monologue presentations are coming up and the kapal-ness of the mukha is definitely needed.

'''Musta UPCAT?''

After I had enough questioning on just what was Jerry Yan doing on the cover of a College Test instruction sheet, it was time to start.

''Begin'', said the proctor, then the final dreaded ''Time's up'' 3 hours later.

I exited the Communal building and wondered around. Thank goodness I saw Bianca (even though she scared the heck out of me the moment she grabbed me from behind). I was already tired circling around to Nowhere, waiting for dad to arrive. So, it was good to see someone I knew in such a big crowd after taking such a big test.

Eventutally, dad came and we stopped by Burger King for merienda which lead to a great staining on my shirt.

Anyways, that was a glimpse of my UPCAT experience. It's already been a week now, but I'm still asked just how was the exam. Well, all I can say is that they said the test was going to be chicken. After last Saturday morning, I don't entirely agree. Hehe.

Oh well, good luck na lang sa atin. Sana makapasa. :)
