Summertime! It's our vaca... What? Okay, fine. I'll get real now.I guess no matter how hard I try to relate to that song whenever I hear it, I just won't. I really find the song's timing ironic. After all, can't celebrate just yet. This (or any) senior has to go through a lot before he or she graduates and tastes the joy of summer.
''Magiging katulad kayo ng mga seniors last year na hindi na nagkaroon ng oras para sa kanilang mga sarili", I remember Sir Norman telling us in one of his Filipino classes. I didn't know if he was just joking or not. Either way, I'm starting to feel that ''pressure'' he was warning us about. Take these past weeks for example: We had to go through the stresses of tests, terror teachers, Calculus, tests, Science Research deadlines, ACET or other college exams, and even more tests...
We just even finished our first Trimestrals (AKA the big exams) this week and I'm pretty happy about that. That's why I currently am into this ''hyped up'' mode for at least, we get to rest even if it's for just about 4 days.
Education vacation, as Ryan Evans puts it in the song I was mentioning a while ago. In this ''short but I don't care'' period of time, I get to catch up on the shows I wanna watch (New seasons of ANTM, Joan of Arcadia, The Emmy Awards and... Heroes!) and do the things I want to do like help Lourdes out in making the schoolpaper layout.
Speaking of which, look what I spotted while I was searching for pictures to use in the school files...

Our Career Orientation Seminar Presentation pics! I didn't know they had such archived in the school files. Anyways, now that was a cool moment in my high school history. I played a mad scientist - complete with a hunched back, white and raised up hair, crazy voice and an even crazier invention that because of its self-destruct button, eventually lets the whole room in peril...

Oh well, at least, when I ever get through my last (and most hectic) year of high school in one piece, I'll definitely milk that walk from where I'm seated to the stage I'll get my diploma. I'll definitely feel that moment we all throw our graduation hats up to the air, as we welcome a new chapter in our lives and something even better: Summer. Just no more singing or dancing in the cafeteria please. :P
