Chicken Sopas for the Reader's Bowl

Take the Hit or Take the Heat

Every second, it is getting more dangerous. Every day, it is getting even worse; but, what are we doing to stop this from happening? Not much.

Unfortunately, most of us are ignorant of the fact that there is a world to save. Sure, there are the activists and all, but that isn't enough. We're talking big business here. The whole world needs to cooperate.

We shouldn't just stand here and wait for something to follow. Start moving. Take the lead if necessary. There is no space for errors or a moment to spare. After all, we have not much time in our midst.

One more thing, we're not considered environmentalists just because we've already seen the An Inconvenient Truth or we're part of our school's environment club. It's more than just knowing the word, it's also about sharing it and putting that into action.

So, throw those excuses aside. We all the take the blame for this one. It's just up to us to determine what to do next: Accept this hit and do something about it, or take the high road and pretend that nothing's happening? You decide.

Of Karaoke Afternoons and Weep Nights

After our practice for our Retreat presentation, I tagged along with some of my batchmates as they were off to Raffy's house. They were supposed to practice for the English Panel discussion, but, of course, they did something else instead; something way more fun, like a karaoke session! I even joined in on their trip. I'm not really the type of person who sings with a karaoke in public (It's been years since I last did), but I didn't know what got me to get up there and just sing. Maybe it was because of glee, since I have just made it through card-giving day in one piece.
Whatever the reason was, I was on a roll. I didn't care about the random songs Miguel played. From ''La Bamba" to "Macho Man''... from "Dancing Queen" to "Puff the Baby Magic Dragon"... I just sang it, even if 80% of what I sang was practically off-key (At least, that was what the machine said).
After this and my past experience with Sir Norman, I just know I'm not cut out to be a singer. :P

And about that Retreat? It was okay. Like I expected, almost everyone cried. Hehe. Most of the waterworks were caused by that night where we said ''Sorry'' and ''Thank you'' to the people we wanted to say that those word to. Coincedentally, by the time we were all finished, it was the start of the National Thank You Day here. Again, guys...
Thanks!

Trip to the Underworld

Our last field trip in high school was like a trip to Proserpine's palace. Going through various holes on the earth, then down the river of death... Yada, yada, yada. Yup, it was pretty much like a page off an Edith Hamilton book.

Focus, Focus, Focus.

I hate the fact that I've been too distracted lately. Oh well. Must. Focus.

Buti pa si Paul...
...na kahit tulog nang tulog sa iba naming klase, he still manages to have high grades.

Hehe. Some of us were just born to glide than grind.
